Mollie Betsch

Acting/Audition Prep Faculty

Brandon M. Caten
Mollie Betsch graduated cum laude with a BFA in Acting from the University of Southern Mississippi. Originally from New Orleans, Mollie spent 6 years performing at the Smithsonian's National WWII Museum before transitioning into the role of Director of Theatre at Mary G. Montgomery High School. In her 4 years of time at MGM, the theatre department and its students have received numerous titles at the District and State level of the Alabama Conference of Theatre's Trumbauer competition. Some of those include "Best in Show", "Best Ensemble", "Best Costumes", "Best Actor" and "Best Actress" for their production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, as well as over 30 state awards in multiple individual events. Mollie's most recent accomplishment is founding and starting MGM's Thespian Troupe 9052!

No stranger to the stage, Mollie as appeared in countless across the Southeast, including Cabaret, Assassins, Legally Blonde, The Government inspector, Picnic, Wind in the Willows,  Into The Woods,  Smoke on the Mountain, Evita, Little Shop of Horrors,  and Spring Awakening (for which she received a Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Irene Ryan nomination.) 

In addition to the state, Mollie's film credits include; Map Of Tiny Perfect Things, I Still Believe, Supercool,  Hulu's Reprisal, American Horror Story, This Is The Year, 21 Jump St.,  Hot Pursuit, Looper, and Paradise. 

Mollie's skillsets offer creative and challenging choices that can enhance acting scenes, acting through musical theatre, as well as collegiate audition prep.
