Brandon Marcus
Owner/Director
Musical Theatre Voice
Brandon Marcus, baritenor, has known since a very young age that it was his calling to help others grow. His willingness to stay after long days of school and help others excel in music built the foundation that he uses to help students succeed today.
Brandon is the owner and primary voice instructor of The Studio. Specializing in Musical Theatre, he currently teaches a full studio of private lessons to some Mobile Bay’s most talented children.
He is a graduate of both Spring Hill College, where he receive his MLA in Leadership & Ethics, and the University of South Alabama, where he completed his B.A. (Music, Education, Theatre, Communication).
While studying music and musical theatre at the University of South Alabama, Brandon was a member of the highly selective University Chorale, as well as the USA Concert Choir. Brandon was a member of USA Opera Theatre for four years, performing multiple solos in both the Musical Theatre and Opera genres. Additionally, having experience in the pageant world judging vocal talent and potential, Brandon was seen as the center judge on the local show JagIdol.
When not staying busy with The Studio, Brandon continues to find time to give back to the performing arts community of Mobile and Baldwin Counties. Brandon has been cast in lead roles on stages across the Gulf Coast, appearing as Judas in Theatre 98’s Godspell (2019), Pilot in ESRT's The Little Mermaid (2017), Mereb in Joe Jefferson Player's Aida (2015), Lucas Beineke in The Walter Anderson Player's The Addam's Family (2014), Emmett Forrest in Joe Jefferson Player's Legally Blonde (2013), Joe in Mobile Theatre Guild’s 9 to 5 (2012) and as Albert J. Peterson in Chickasaw Civic Theatre’s Bye, Bye Birdie (2011). To learn a little more about Brandon, visit his website at www.BMarc.us.
Brandon has been named in the Best Actor or Best Theatrical Singer categories of the Lagniappe Nappie awards category five times in the past eight years, but takes pride in watching his students win awards at the local, area, state, regional, and national level. His students continually excel at competitions, placing in the upper percentile.
Excited about the future, Brandon is happy to finally see his dream of an educational performing arts studio for children coming true and cannot wait to see what comes next!
