Joseph Dean
Stage Combat

Joseph Dean has been teaching and choreographing stage combat for 45 years. From a two-person sword fight to 100 actors strategically fighting on stage in Romeo and Juliet, Joe has taught it all. Previously, Joe worked as an instructor in Krav Maga. and now merges those Krav Maga techniques with standard stage combat, enhancing the illusion of stage combat on stage while bringing the audience into the scene. Joe believes it is vitally important for actors to learn the proper techniques of stage combat to not only ensure their safety, but also the safety of others.
